Occasionally I wandered in where I was not wanted and gave truthful answers.
Sometimes I even did it deliberately. A little disruption now can prevent disaster later.

“The Holly and the Ivy” (pagan version)

And the running of the deer
The harvest bride shall be brought to bed
And we shall have good cheer.

The holly bears a blossom
As white as any snow
And the Child of Light is newly born
All on a winter's morn.

The holly bears a berry
As red as any wine
And we shall dance and feast all night
In honour of the vine.

And the holly bears a bark
Which burneth with a smoke
And the stag runs in the greenwood
With the Lady of the dark.

The holly bears a prickle
As sharp as any thorn
And it has vanquished Barleycorn
Who sleepeth in the earth.

But as the ivy twineth
About the last sheaf of corn
As the Spring comes after Winter
So shall he be reborn.
