Rhythm Of Life
With the local cable company playing their games, the internet signal wasn't good enough for Netflix. So I broke out the Carol Burnett DVDs.
There was one sketch. A wealthy couple was meeting the parents of their daughter's fiancee. To the surprise of both sets of parents, it wasn't to be a church wedding. It was going to be a street wedding with a hippie vibe. Okay, so far funny, but nothing exceptional. Then they did the musical number.
And The Rhythm Of Life is a powerful beat,
Puts a tingle in your fingers and a tingle in your feet,
Rhythm in your bedroom,
Rhythm in the street,
Yes, The Rhythm Of Life is a powerful beat,
To feel The Rhythm Of Life,
To feel the powerful beat,
To feel the tingle in your fingers,
To feel the tingle in your feet,
To feel The Rhythm Of Life,
To feel the powerful beat,
To feel the tingle in your fingers,
To feel the tingle in your feet,
Okay, obviously the full song is a commentary of fad religions and con men taking money and power away from foolish people.
But that one section of lyrics, the same bit that the Carol Burnett Show had excerpted, that was Some Powerful Stuff there.
So of course I'm going to add it to my notes. I'm going to adapt it. And I'm going to share the idea with you.
Have fun with it.
