Just before it sparks
Not mine.
Today I am indulging in a mostly day off. I’ve not had one for two months.
Yesterday morning we had a soft snow. Most of it melted before afternoon. There are still a few patches of very wet snow here and there.
I’ve been asked why I pay such close attention to the weather. One thing about deserts is that you don’t get much precipitation. In the low deserts you get a blue sky so hard it will scratch your eyeballs and some occasional clouds. In the high desert there are more clouds but that sky is still there.
People don’t realize just how blue the sky can be.
Tomorrow Sparkpoint begins at sunset, a High Holiday on my WebTree path. The actual cross quarter day is the fourth.
Cross quarter days are the midpoint between the solstice and equinox, or on the other side of the wheel between the equinox and the solstice.
Tommorrow marks the beginning of Spring.
I want warmth. I’m winter-born and I revel in it, but I admit the high humidity makes me feel the cold more.
I need new beginnings this year. Mom is recovering but I miss time (and sex) with my companions.
Happy Spring to you!
