Occasionally I wandered in where I was not wanted and gave truthful answers.
Sometimes I even did it deliberately. A little disruption now can prevent disaster later.

Oops, your pendant fell

This is one of those little things that no one ever told me when I first started doing “pagan things.”

I have a fetish for black leather. So naturally when I started getting my pagan pendants, I used black leather for the cords.

Leather rots especially after contact with sweat. Since outside the house I wear my pendants “choker” style, this happened fairly often.

Now I use black satin cord for the five main pendants I use. Strictly speaking, only one is a tool.

I do keep one pendant on leather. It’s a pewter knotwork cross. I wear it to funerals or when I’m doing a Lament for someone.

I probably have about a dozen other pendants. I hardly ever use them.

Just inside the door over the light switch in my sanctum, there’s a double prong coat hook. One side holds my grandfather’s skeleton key which I’ve customized into a pendant and my favorite TOL pendant. I use the key as a tool, and I wear the TOL pendant during my version of the sabbats.

The other hook holds my other pendants. One I use during the full moon and one I use during the dark moon. The last is what I wear the rest of the time.

I don’t usually wear my pendant to bed. I knot it into a loop and hang it on the bathroom cabinet knob right next to my elastic hair tie.
