No Grand Cause here
We have some new visitors and I'll bet they are confused.
This site really is what the description at the top of the sidebar says. It's a slice of life. Think of it like my library. Although truthfully my library never looked this good or was this well organized. This is a place where I like to share what I've learned living on this planet. That's why it's chock full of quotes, art and photos that intrigue me, and a few short essays on things that I thought were important.
Here's what you won't find here.
A Grand Cause.
I don't believe in them, you see.
I do believe in talking to people. All sorts of people. That's why online you'll find me talking to Buddhists and conservative Christians, to atheists and pagans, to Satanists and Mormons. And those are just the religious labels.
I believe that no one person, no one group has all the answers.
I believe that history is the gateway to the future. I don't think we can understand where we're going until we know where we've been.
I'm not in this for fame or page reads or even recognition.
I'll tell you what I'm in it for, but I know many of you won't believe me. That's okay, your belief doesn't govern my behavior. I'm not writing for the ages.
There's a very good essay, Isiah's Job by Albert Jay Nock. If you don't want to web search, there's a copy at my political site. It's worth your time. Go ahead, read it, I'll still be here when you finish.
Now if you'd like to discuss it, this would be a good place to start.
