Bloody sacrifice
But I know about blood sacrifice.
My first real experience with paganism involved sex and blood. As in spellforms carved into my skin. As in spellforms that I carved into another. As in scarification.
Yeah, since I don't really want to pass that part of the lore on, I am not going to detail it. I had problems with depression, I was very much in lust, and I needed to feel like I was in control. It was a stupid thing, and it took me decades to undo and work through. And some very painful laser procedures.
I don't think animals should be killed for ritual use. I have issues with animals being killed for food. It's why I still pray before meals. I'm honoring their sacrifice even though I know they don't understand.
I know there are religions, traditions, and paths that do use and encourage animal sacrifice. It's parity again. If I want freedom to practice my faith as I see fit, I can't really object to someone else doing things I find distasteful.
Unless it's animals that I know or own. Then I will do something more than object.
I like four-foots.
If you do sacrifice animals, remember that most locations in America regulate that. Especially in the major cities.
This is a shorter topic than I thought it would be.
I still do use blood magic. Every year when I prep my compost pile, I put in a few drops of blood and some semen. It's a willing sacrifice. That means that if I want to keep magick in my garden, I have to share the vegetables with family and friends.
They don't know about the extra ingredients.
But now you do.
