I played hooky and climbed up on the roof, just so I could enjoy the moon peeking through the trees on the greenbelt in my desert.

I know Sunday night was after the full moon, even by my standards, but it was something to see. Low on the horizon, shining bright golden, giving a buzz to the night.

Kids over on the next street had some sort of game going, I didn't pay too close of attention. Their play and shouts gave a curious counterpoint to the golden light.

Nights like that are when I revel in being alive.
