The last couple of months have been a little hard emotionally. A lot of toxic politics and a lot of personal drama. So I meditate, or at least try.

Part of what I do is my garden. I don't really enjoy that as much as I should. Mostly i do it out of obligation to my ancestors and particularly the Gardener, bless him.

See, that's a piece of design that you may have seen but not understood. All the lexicon links are uppercase. Outside the lexicon, those links look like label tape. It's a clear visual impression because there is a lot of information.

Definitions that I think are wrong or dangerous have a red title bar and a dotted line box. Links within the site change size and loose the underlining when you hover over them. Lexicon links are uppercase. Timetable links are script. And external links just change background color on hover.

Creativity is my thing. I really enjoy webpages. Part of the metaphor for this site is a loose-leaf binder jammed with all sorts of stuff. That really shows in my lexicon and timetable. It gives a feeling that it is mixed up with clippings and post-it notes. I've been doing a lot of formatting and tweaking, stuff that the user/reader won't really notice but that makes it easier to use and will make it easier for me to keep it up to date.

It will never be finished. But soon there will be enough to replace my "Words & Phrases" drop down. Right now the drop down menu on the top gives you version 1 and the keypad in the sidebar gives you version 3 such as it is.

And right now I am going to go back to work.
