Occasionally I wandered in where I was not wanted and gave truthful answers.
Sometimes I even did it deliberately. A little disruption now can prevent disaster later.

pagan festival season AZ monsoon season waning gibbous moon

Thinking by blogging

Thursday morning just before dawn I was taking out the trash wearing just sweat pants, sandals and my malachite bear pendant. This bear pendant used to be for the waxing moon, now that job falls to my raven pendant.

The air was still moist from Wednesday night's rain showers, As the sky lightened, peach seeped through the Eastern horizon. I looked up at the waning Moon hanging high in the South. I took off my glasses and let the light wash through me and into my mouth.

Yes, sometimes you can taste the Moonlight in the predawn. It's full of promise and hope and wonder, with the ever so slight tartness of regret.

I didn't plan, it just happened. Now, did it happen because of the Divine and the universe noticing me? Or did it happen because I've been trying to reconnect with the natural cycles? I don't know. It didn't matter in the moment and I'm not sure it matters now. I just take quiet joy that it did.

Okay, it's official. I like that text shadowing as an emphasis. I started with Technopagan Green and italics but it didn't quite pop. It took a little tweaking to get it exactly right. I am going to keep it. Now the snippet is saved and labeled TPY body text shadow and the code is: . That's fun and cross-files this journal entry into site news.

Speaking of site news, I've been getting some response about the direction that the site has been taking. I never intended to be a Sage of Greater Pagan Wisdom and I certainally never set out to be someone's sole source of knowledge. This isn't a pagan news site, and it's not really a purely pagan site. It's a slice of life site by someone who happens to be pagan and takes their faith seriously. See, it even says so at the top of the sidebar. Yes, the pictures and the quotes are a big part of that. Even the quotes I wrote. I'm consolidating all my quote files into two places, here and at Pagan Vigil. It's because I intend to use them again and again when I post on other sites. And yes, I wrote many maxims I think are quotable. Should I adopt false modesty and wait for somone else to notice? Or should I use what I've written in the service of truth? Veritas.

Creating and tweaking are the ways I channel my passions positively. I love writing. I love tweaking the websites. I love firing up GarageBand and cutting loose. I love drawing.

And I have to touch the people around me. A man is measured by the lives he touches. It keeps me from doing the hermit thing full time. It keeps me sane.

But it doesn't stop me from howling at the moon.

I guess my wildman is showing.
