Casual Pagans? After seeing some Solstice Pagans headin'
for Sedona
I think that it is time to stop going for the "weird" look in Pagan clothes. Since my preferred semi-casual clothes usually include a polo shirt or a golf shirt, I am thinking about having some made. I can accurately say that a pentagram doesn't really reflect my Pagan faith, so I am looking for alternatives. These are the things I think about over breakfast while wiggling my toes in the carpet. Seriously though, I can see ritual garb at a ritual. I can see ritual garb at a festival. But in the workplace? Walking down the street? Shopping for groceries? Driving across state lines? I was in the SCA for a few years. I know about freaking the mundanes. It may get attention, but it won't get respect. And since my choice of "ritual garb" isn't exactly socially acceptable, I think I will look for ways to express my faith without going overboard.

Pagan philosopher, libertarian, and part-time trouble maker, NeoWayland looks at keeping truths alive despite a wash of nonsense. But don't be surprised when he's doing the "nekkid Pagan guy" thing.
