Paranoid ramblingsRenovations and privacy
I am renovating my house. Basically I am
converting the last third of my garage that ISN'T already a library to a private
office/workroom/sanctum/thinking
space.
Unfortunately, being the private paranoid person that I am, this means letting contractors in the house. Honestly, I have a hard time letting friends into the house, much less people I don't know. It also means that there are a lot of boxes, and some of the items that aren't seen often by anyone but me are a little more exposed than usual. One of my statues has already caused problems with the air conditioning contractors, who weren't happy when I told them they had to extend the ductwork around a solar tube. It's been a long, frustrating process and it is going to cut into my blogging, at least until the painting is done. After my friends and I lay the tile and do the painting, the contractors come back to put in the baseboards. Then I have a few days when people will drop by to see it before I can seal it off from the world and start going through all my stuff. I have at least one major piece of furniture that will need to be repainted and slightly rewired before it goes in the space, then I can get the desk in. Then and only then will I move MaCei (my main iMac) into the sanctum. So blogging is going to be light and will probably go in spurts for the next little bit. Pagan philosopher, libertarian, and part-time trouble maker, NeoWayland looks at keeping truths alive despite a wash of nonsense. But don't be surprised when he's doing the "nekkid Pagan guy" thing.
