Today's really twenty-nine
Today is Arizona's Arbor Day. But it's not really the 28th.
No, today I planted my twenty-ninth tree.
Each year, I choose a tree.
Each year, away from my house and away from my town, I plant the tree on or around Arbor Day.
It's actually part of my Summergate celebration.
Not all those trees have survived. But there is some of my blood and sweat mixed in the soil at twenty-nine spots.
